This is our 5th week on Nutrisystem and we are in a routine but I am really missing cooking. Cooking was my #1 hobby and I have put it on the backburner and only cook for my toddler since hubby and I are on a diet. I lost only 1.3 pounds this week, but I’m not discouraged at all. Even though weightloss has dramatically slowed down since the first week, I knew what to expect going into this diet and I am very pleased with my results so far.
I have a few favorite foods that I can eat everyday and not get bored. For breakfast I love the breakfast burrito. I know beans isn’t what you normally think of for breakfast, but it tastes so yummy and fills me up! I also love the breakfast bars – all of them – especially for on the go. I have a full schedule planned for my toddler and I in the mornings so these are great to grab and go.
My favorite lunch is the frozen pizzas. I love the garden veggie pizza the best and I am very impressed with the amount of crispiness right out of the microwave! I also love the fudge graham bars for lunch since I can pair them up with a hearty salad (yes, I said HEARTY salad!) but now that it is warm out, I find that fudge for lunch doesn’t go down well. I need something more refreshing.
My favorite dinner is the turkey pizza or the macaroni and cheese. Mac and cheese is not only for kids and it is even better than the stuff you get out of the box! (Even though you do technically get it out of a cup.)
I find that being on the go makes it difficult to get all that water down because it is hard to chase a bathroom with a toddler in public. I feel great in my skin and I am so close to reaching my goal!
