When you have children, you start to realize that dress up isn’t just for Halloween. My preschooler is in costume for a good part of the week, and will only take off her costume when she is going to school, to the park, or out shopping. I know many parents will tell you that they can’t even get their kids out of costumes during those occasions, but so far, we haven’t had a problem.
It all started with cats. We don’t have a cat, but my daughter was obsessed with cats. She would wake up meowing, she would crawl around and ask for her food to be put in a plate on the floor. This went on for a long time and we thought she would never outgrow it… until she discovered princesses. Just yesterday she told me I needed to bow down before her when I spoke to her. Who IS this kid?!? I actually thought she would be going through he tomboy phase since she loves Mario Brothers, but instead of loving her favorite character, she started obsessing over Princess Peach and acting like her. Really? Princess Peach only has a 3 minute role in all of the Mario Bros games combined! She doesn’t even talk! So, when I asked her which costume she would like to pick out when the awesome people over at BuyCostumes offered to send her one, she didn’t think twice when she requested Princess Peach. The costume comes with a lot more accessories than most costumes come with at a price point of $35, such as gloves and a crown. The crown left a lot to be desired as it is flimsy and will not stay on, but the costume itself is beautiful and comfortable. She can even wear clothes underneath for Halloween if it is colder at that time. Maybe by that time she will take it off long enough for me to iron it!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
