Setting up a routine is so important for children. When they know what to expect, tantrums may occur less often, and they seek comfort in having a familiar routine. Our routine each morning consists of getting dressed, using the bathroom, brushing teeth, and heading into the kitchen for breakfast. Some days are harder than others when it comes to getting my oldest to eat breakfast before school, but setting expectations and explaining why breakfast is so important is how we started her on the right path.
Kellogg’s agrees that it is important to set yourself up for success each morning by starting your day off with a nutritious breakfast. Along with being prepared for whatever your day brings you, a delicious breakfast can get you started on the right foot. Our routine starts from the evening-make sure homework is done, pack backpacks, pick out clothes for the next day, and make sure our pantry is stocked with kid-friendly breakfast options for the next day. Kellogg’s Raisin Bran and Frosted Mini Wheats are my kids’ top choices, along with milk. There is no need to stress or scramble in the morning when you are prepared for the next day from the night before.
If you love Twitter parties and want to enter to win fun Kellogg’s prizes, including a $50 Amazon gift card, then be sure to check out the party on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at noon ET / 11a CT / 9a PT. Follow the conversation with @KelloggsUS and Hashtags #BigDay #Tomorrow (used together)

Lay out your clothes the night before to help streamline your morning routine.

Create a “must achieve” list for the morning to help yourself stop stressing about those tasks at night, leading to a more restful night’s sleep.
-
Plan out what to have for breakfast, and nothing is easier than setting out a bowl and spoon for a quick, nutritious and tasty bowl of cereal in the morning.
-
If you’re traveling or on-the-go, making sure to pack a nutritious snack (like a baggie of cereal) in your bag to help you avoid hitting the mid-morning lull and picking something unhealthy.
