This the season for hostess gifts! As a hostess of our annual family Thanksgiving dinner, I can tell you that I don’t expect anyone to bring anything along with them, but I guess a small gift is inevitable. I never show up to someone’s house empty handed and I’m sure those who come to my home may feel the same way. I’ve never been disappointed with a hostess gift simply because I don’t expect anything and I am grateful for having everyone together. I will say, however, there have been hostess gifts that have wowed me! Bring me a bottle of wine or a fruit tart and this girls is happy, but show up with a gift basket full of artisanal bites and I’m impressed.
