Just a few months ago, my hubby surprised me with a trip to our local car dealer. We had been in the market for a slightly bigger car for months, but between moving and all that comes along with that stress, we hadn’t had a chance to go . After much discussion and a lot of haggling, I got the car I had wanted for years and never thought I would be able to afford. This car shopping experience was unlike any other, because our car dealer went above and beyond to make me happy. I had told him that I never wanted to deal with the stress of car shopping and wished my husband would have just purchased the car and put a big red bow on it on Christmas morning for me. Well, after our car was ready for us, our salesman did just that- he put a huge red bow on the top of my car and said, “I knew it was something you always wanted and knew I could deliver, I hope you love it.” And I did. I squealed like a tot on Christmas morning, and although I didn’t forgo the dreaded experience of car shopping, I was extremely happy with the entire process. I wish I had a picture of my new car face at the time, because it was an experience I know I won’t forget.

Now, it’s my husband’s turn. He ended up with my old sports car when I found out I was pregnant with our first baby 6 years ago. In those years, his car has been through the ringer and pieces of it are being held up with temporary pins while he makes a decision on what he wants to purchase. I know his won’t be as expressive as mine was, only because he’s a very calm and easy going person. It takes a lot to get an extreme expression out of him.
