My kids are quite the adventurers. Whether the sun is out or there is snow on the ground, we try to keep them active. Depending on the weather, we can spend a day at the park or at the children’s museum. These excursions usually involve meal-time planning to ensure an empty belly doesn’t lead to a full blown tantrum. I’ll often pack something easy to eat in the car, like a sandwich, grapes, and carrot sticks. Aside from a good lunch, snacks are a must. My oldest loves salty snacks while my middle child loves sweet snacks. When we go to Target, they each gravitate to their favorite Goldfish snacks.
Now Goldfish has three new flavors – Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel, Honey Mustard + Pretzel and Chocolate Mint + Pretzel. Just by looking at the flavors I immediately knew which child would like which snack, including my hubby! The Honey Mustard + Pretzel seems to be the favorite around here with the Chocolate Mint + Pretzel coming in at a close second. I typically separate the larger Goldfish bags into smaller snack size bags so they can snack appropriately. We all know that a belly full of snacks won’t want lunch or dinner!
Aside from snacking on the go, my kids have gotten into trail mix and we’ve made our own. The new Goldfish flavors make it easy to create your own trail mix with your favorite flavors. The popular one around here is the Chocolate Mint + pretzel with raisins and almonds added in. Try making your own trail mix with your favorite variety of Goldfish crackers!
Be on the lookout for the new Goldfish flavors at your local store. Target is known to carry a good selection of Goldfish flavors.
