I feel like every weekend since June we have had a house full of people. No hurricane warnings or crazy NYC tornado warnings have kept company away, as a matter of fact everyone loves being together when the weather is miserable. Good food, good friends and family, along with good laughs equal an awesome time and memories made.
Music is always playing in the background of our get togethers, and we usually just stream music from our iPhones. I did have a mp3 music dock that played music through speakers, but the clarity was not anything to sneeze about, so we just decided not to use it anymore. The sound was no better than the speaker on the iPhone- which isn’t too great for music playing over people’s conversations. When I heard about the SoundStep Recharge by Soundfreaq, I knew I had to try it out. We were in the market for a sound system and heard some great things about Soundfreaq products.
What I first noticed about the SoundStep Recharge was that it was thin and long. It didn’t take up too much room on my counter, which is where I initially set it up so that I can play music while washing dishes and making dinner. I always play Baby Einstein classics for my infant through my cell phone, but now we were able to listen to her music with amazing clarity through the Soundfreaq SoundStep Recharge.
Set up was a breeze. After pairing my phone to the SoundStep Recharge via BlueTooth, my iPhone prompted me to download the accompanying app. I was impressed that I could use my iPhone as a remote to control the Soundfreaq music system from any room in the house. I could change the songs that were playing and control the volume from anywhere within the range of the system.
Since we had people over this past weekend, I knew it was a great time to try out the Soundfreaq system. Although I played music with the Bluetooth option, my cousin decided to just place his iPhone right on the dock. He didn’t want to go through pairing the device, even though I assured him it was a minute process. He also did not want to download the app- which is fine, because you have both options with the SoundStep Recharge: you can dock your iPhone or use it wirelessly!
At some point, the guys decided to go outside and I stayed in with the gals to get the kids to sleep so we could enjoy wine time without any whine time. The guys wanted the music with them, and they were able to disconnect the SoundStep Recharge from it’s power source. It has an internal battery back up, so you can literally bring it ANYWHERE with you, even if you don’t have an outlet to plug it in!
