What do the items in your bedside drawer say about you? I have three drawers in my night stand and each one serves a purpose. I haven’t figured out what that purpose is, but I’m still in the process of decluttering and trying to make sense of the odds and ends in my drawer. If the items in my night table say anything about me, this is what they would say:
A half-read Jen Lancaster book (which I started before I was pregnant with baby #2) would tell you that I don’t have enough hours in the day for ME. I love being busy, because I hate to be bored, but having an hour to myself each night would be nice. I find that by the end of the day I’m so tired that if I attempt to read my book, I will fall asleep while reading..
Baby nose drops and a baby thermometer would tell you that I like to be prepared. Kids can get sick any time, any where.. I always have the necessities accessible for middle of the night sniffles or fevers because I know that in the wee hours I may not be able to think straight and find what my babies will need. Since they are in my nightstand, I can make sure relief is within arms reach.
Prenatal Vitamins would tell you that I care about my health and my baby’s health. She is in the process of weaning, but I know that the mega doses of vitamins in prenatals will provide us both with proper nutrition. Plus, they make my nails and hair strong and shiny, so I take them even when I’m not pregnant. Since neural tube defects occur during the weeks you may not even know you are pregnant, it is good to have proper nutrition if you are planning on becoming pregnant. If you are taking precautions against getting pregnant, is a great resource that can help you understand your reproductive health. It never occurred to me to take prenatal vitamins when not pregnant, but I guess that makes sense!

My nightstand has earplugs, a lamp and a tart warmer on it right now, so I guess it says I don’t like noise, and I like nice scents, in the light or dark (depending on when the lamp is on or off!) LOL!
