I think everyone across the globe could have heard my cries of devastation this week. My girls were at school, my son was sleeping, laundry was folded, and dinner was defrosting. I finally had some time to myself where I can focus on work. I had my warm coffee next to me and started chipping away at the work I had. Then my laptop screen frozen. I didn’t think anything of it because this was a frequent occurrence. There was a second of horror as I realized it wouldn’t unfreeze, a quick thinking moment to take a picture with my phone of what I was working on so I can recreate it, and then three intermittent beeps. I shut off my laptop, hit the power button again, and greeted with the same 3 beeps. A quickie Google search on my phone pulled up a ram issue which pretty much means it’s time to. But first, panic. What about all my work? Pictures? Documents? Oh, those are stored on the external hard drive- the one that has been requesting your attention for some error but you ignored it. I had my most obnoxious tantrum ever, curled into a ball and cried, and then started feverishly searching for a new computer. Thank goodness for easy shopping apps on my phone!
I searched on the site I knew would get me a bargain on the latest Intel laptop. I settled on the Black 15.6 Laptop from Walmart. Priced right at what I was willing to spend, a decent battery life, and an HD screen, I was settled on my choice. They also have a free laptop contest where you can of your own!
