While the summer days are dwindling, time spent outdoors doesn’t have to. Sure, our schedule will start filling up once school starts, but that doesn’t mean we stay indoors a whole lot when we are home. While school and homework and learning are all important, so is fun and activity. I know those harsh winter days are on their way and we will inevitably be stuck in the house, so I try to enjoy it now while we can.
Some of our favorite outdoor activities are going for walks, bike rides, and just spending time in the yard while the kids play. Their latest favorite outdoor activity is the Little Tikes Giant Slide Bouncer. The girls, along with their friends, have an awesome time in the enclosed bounce house and then climb up the ladder to slide down the slide, only to do it again. Watching them giggle and bounce around reminds me of being a kid again, without a care in the world and feeling free.
My backyard isn’t large by any means, so I was ecstatic when we blew up the bounce house and it fit perfectly in our yard. The easy setup and clean up of the bounce house make it the perfect addition to backyard fun, since it won’t be a permanent fixture in a smaller yard.
Some friends have commented on the pricey nature of this bounce house, but I see it as an investment. At least I get to keep this fun equipment and take it out when we have play dates, birthday parties, or looking for some afternoon fun.
