My hubby and I must be absolutely insane because we are planning our first trip to Europe as a family. My toddler doesn’t travel well- she gets car sick, and my infant just doesn’t like to be in one position for too long, but that can change in a few months. This will be our first time going on a plane together, and while I’m not looking forward to the plane ride, I am looking forward to seeing Greece and Cyprus, and teaching my toddler about our culture. A lot of my husband’s family remained in Greece while most of mine immigrated here, so it will be nice to see/meet a lot of them!

Since it will be my first time in Europe since I was a kid, it will be an entirely new experience for me. He’s familiar with places to eat and stay, but I actually want to go there as a tourist, and not be limited to family’s houses. I just heard of : a site that is great for traveling. We will be landing in Athens, and while we are there we will definitely see the famous Acropolis and Parthenon. Then, we will head north to Thessaloniki for a wedding. On the way there, I’m hoping to check out Mount Olympus, a place I have wished to visit for years! When we were planning our wedding, a destination wedding in Greece was at the top of our list, but due to expenses we had to cross it off and stick to a “typical” wedding here in the states. Who knows, maybe we will get hitched… again… only this time, the way we dreamed of it!

After Greece, we will head over to Cyprus. I’m hoping to visit during the Wine Festival in Lemesos, and check out the famous Agia Napa.
