My toddler isn’t much of a breakfast eater. I know the importance of breakfast, but after assessing the rest of her diet, I feel that she is getting enough nutrients throughout the day. Still, I worry. I notice that she can start lagging around lunch time and even gets extremely cranky if she doesn’t have something in her belly for breakfast. I know many people won’t agree with me on this- but I let her have ice pops for breakfast. No, not the sugary, artificial color laden frozen treats, but rather a healthier version of homemade ice pops.
I got a Zoku ice pop maker that freezes home made ice pops in only 10 minutes. The Earth’s Best Fruit and Yogurt pouches are a great option when it comes to healthy frozen treats, but now Earth’s Best has also come out with a Fruit and Grain variety. The purees are a great blend of while grains and organic vegetables in an easy squeeze pouch. I feel better knowing my little girl is getting some whole grains in her diet for breakfast, along with some healthy fruits.
The new Organic Fruit and Grain Purees will be available in Apple Peach Oatmeal, Apple Plum Kamut, Banana Raspberry Brown Rice and Pear Apricot Barley.
