This year Halloween falls on a Wednesday. For me, this means that my boys will be in school until 4pm which limits our Trick-or-Treating time a bit. This leaves me with a little bit of a costume dilemma for my baby girl. I don’t have daytime Halloween plans for her because I’ll most likely be packing up our house for our move at the end of that week. So, I don’t want to have to put her into a potentially uncomfortable costume right before dinner/bath/bedtime just for a short stroll around the neighborhood.

So, this morning I crafted the owl face onto the hat. It was simple. I cut out shapes using the felt provided and the templates on the instruction sheet. I then glued the eye pieces and beak to the hat. When my 4-year old saw it after school he insisted on trying it on. It didn’t fit of course but he was pretending to be an own as this little baby hat sat directly on top of his head. But my little girl looks too cute! I can’t wait for Halloween. I may even need to schedule a play date to show off her Mochi Owl Costume.
