The other day I had my two nephews over for a playdate. My toddler was excited that her older cousins were coming over to play, but what she didn’t know was that they would not be interested in dolls, castles, or anything pink. My toddler asked my oldest nephew to play princess with her and after curling his nose in disgust he replied “8 year old boys don’t play with princesses.” She asked if he would like to be Prince Charming instead, and as you can imagine, he wasn’t too thrilled.
My little girl can play with anything from Barbies to cars. She doesn’t see a difference in boy vs girl toys, and I’m okay with that. When she asked for a car last year, I went out and bought her a toy car! My nephews aren’t as adaptive. So when they came over this weekend and I had a building set, both boys were ecstatic, and not surprisingly, so was my toddler (although the recommended age is 6+.)
The Beast Hunters Ripclaw Strike set comes with 199 pieces to create a robot or dragon, and include two KREON figures. The included instruction manual gives you step by step directions on how to create your beast, but kids can always come up with their own silly configurations. The building set had the kids entertained for hours, and there were enough pieces for all three of them to play happily together or independently.

I am a girl, an adult, and I love transformers. My daughter thinks they are fun to alter when they have alot of pieces and her imagination takes off. Especially if her daddy is doing funny-strange voices for each character.
