August in NYC usually means quite a few thunderstorms or days that are so hot and muggy, you don’t even want to leave your house. Having a newborn at home, there were plenty of days during this hot summer that I didn’t think she would be comfortable in her hot car seat while her sister ran around in the park sprinklers, so we spent many days home, and usually bored.
Disney is releasing some old favorites on BluRay on August 21, 2012, so during these overbearingly hot or rainy days, we can snuggle up on the couch and have a family movie day in! Disney classics are also great for playdates that get rained out- just serve popcorn and you are set!
