Family Game Night just isn’t what it use to be. I remember actually taking out board games and putting them together to prepare for a game. Since I got married, we have our own version of Family Game Night. Every Friday and/or Saturday we have a few cousins over. Usually we watch a movie, and most of the time, if no one has fallen asleep during the movie, we will play some Wii games. At first, everyone enjoyed playing games that get you out of your seat, such as tennis or snowboarding – but lately we have been a little bored with the options.
I was given a copy of Family Game Night 4 to review. I have never played any of the Family Game Night video games, so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. When I introduced it this past Friday to my guests, they seemed interested to try it out. We all loved that it was a throwback to our favorite board games growing up, bit with a twist! The animations were fun and the special effects were great.
There are five games to choose from, including Sorry! Sliders, Connect 4 Basketball, Scrabble Flash, Bop It Boptagon, and Yahtzee! Bowling. You can only play 2 players at a time, which is great so everyone can take a turn, or challenge the winner! Whether you have a Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation 3, or Xbox 360, there is a version for you! There are even enhanced versions for the Xbox Kinect of Playstation Move! You can purchase Family Game Night 4 at Amazon – it retails for $39.99 but right now it is cheaper, depending on which platform you need it for!
