Do you ever feel like lunches have become a new competition in the Olympics? I totally feel like the mom shown in the video above. I’ve tried my hand at creative lunches for my preschooler and when most of it came home untouched, I threw in the towel and started to simplify her meals. I would much rather spend my creativity on figuring out ways my kids will allow me to get those crazy knots out of their hair, or perhaps letting me choose their clothing- the fashion faux pas that comes from allowing my preschooler to dress herself is just sinful.
Along with simplifying lunch time, I’ve also simplified snacktime, especially when on the go. Snacking on the go has been the norm around here since my oldest daughter started solid foods. Finding things she could eat in the car was a must, especially during the warmer months when we were always out and about. Not much has changed since then, and we are always trying out new snacks that hold well without refrigeration and the girls enjoy. Fruits and veggies are a big hit around here, and thankfully I don’t have to do much to convince my girls to reach for the healthy stuff. The only problem? Summer. Have you ever forgotten a bag of blueberries or grapes in the car after a hot summer day? Or spend the day at the zoo only to come back to the car for snack time and have your grapes withered into raisins? Yeah, that’s why we need Mott’s applesauce pouches when snacking on the go. Not only do they not require refrigeration (although they are very refreshing when chilled) but they also travel well, come in a resealable pouch, and are a hit with my kids.
Mott’s is a name that has been around since I was a kid and my mom would pack applesauce cups in my school lunch. Mott’s has jumped on the applesauce pouch bandwagon and brought all your favorite flavors in an easy to transport package that doesn’t require utensils to eat. Right now, there are 3 varieties available in the Mott’s® Snack & Go product line and our favorite is the Natural Applesauce pouches. My little one loves the taste and I love that they are an excellent source of vitamin C and don’t have added sugar*. Other varieties are Strawberry Applesauce and Original Applesauce.
My oldest daughter isn’t a fan of applesauce pouches because she refers to them as “baby food” but my youngest is a budding foodie who will try just about anything. She opted to try Mott’s® Snack & Go and loves it, so these will be the latest option in our snack bag. Whether on the way to grandma’s house, a weekend at the beach house, or a quick trip to the park, Mott’s Snack & Go offers a convenient way to snack from a brand you’ve known your whole life!
You can find out more by visiting Mott’s on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest and follow them for new product information and promotions.
*Mott’s® Snack & Go Strawberry, Natural and Original applesauce pouches are an excellent source of vitamin C. Mott’s® Snack & Go Strawberry and Natural applesauce pouches have no sugar added.
