You’re not going to believe this:I just learned how to make a bolognese sauce by playing a game. NO JOKE! I found out about a new game, , and poked around a bit. I had no intention of making pasta with bolognese for dinner, but I happen to have everything on hand, so now I have to give this recipe a whirl. There are lots of other dishes to make, such as falafel, burritos, pizza, even a red velvet cake! I know I have some of you drooling already! You can play on your smartphone, iPad, and on your computer. All these options make the app super portable.
The game is interactive, which is the best feature. ANYONE can learn how to cook, and this is a great app for kids, since they can learn about using fresh ingredients to make healthy dishes. Of course, I wouldn’t let my child loose in the kitchen unsupervised, but Sara’s Cooking Class is a great way to get the entire family involved in dinner.
After you choose a recipe, you can review all the ingredients and steps. Once you have everything you need, you can start “playing” the game, which takes you step by step through the recipe. It even shows you how to cut up vegetables and how long to wait before including ingredients in the saucepan.
Having two daughters, I can easily say this app is great for girls, but as a previous cooking instructor I can also say this app is fantastic for boys. At sone point or another, almost everyone ends up in the kitchen attempting a recipe, so why not make it easy and fun? I’m hoping my husband can learn a thing or two and give me a break one night!
You can find out more information about by visiting their links:
You can download the app at ,, and Amazon. The lite version is FREE so you can try it out to see what all the hype is about! You can also follow Sara’s Cooking Class on Facebook and Spil Games on Facebook where you can find out more information about the game and find out what others are saying about it!
