My friends and I try to get together at least once a week, and now with my hubby home it is much easier to plan a girl’s night out, or a fun movie night indoors. One of my friends was watching the Bachelorette a few weeks ago while we were over her house, and I got hooked. Since shows like these are not on children’s channels, I generally do not get a chance to watch them, so this was a nice treat. I was immediately pulled into the show and needed to know what happened next, so we planned the following Monday to have the children play while we watched the next episode of the Bachelorette.
When I went to the liquor store to pick up wine for our now-weekly viewing of the Bachelorette, I knew I wanted a light, crisp, refreshing white wine. I had Brancott Estate wine on my list, and was happy when the owner complimented my choice in a New Zealand wine. Brancott Estate wines come from the Marlborough region of New Zealand and they have been producing Sauvignon Blanc for over 30 years! The light and fruity wine is perfect for a warm summer evening and compliments many summer dishes!
Last Monday was pretty warm, so after a day in the pool it was nice to unwind with a cool glass of Bancott Estate Savignon Blanc. We put together a fruit and cheese platter which complimented the wine nicely, and it was time to watch the show! The kids played happily in the den while the mamas were took some mommy time to watch the Bachelorette. It’s nice to have some mommy time-out with great company, great food, and great wine!
Do you keep up with The Bachelorette? Who do you think Des should pick?
