My toddler got her first tea set for her birthday last year and has always loved having tea parties. Her first tea party was when she was about a year and a half. Her cousin, who is a year older than her, set up their play table with a tea set and instructed my then 18 month old how to sit and drink tea. It was the most adorable setting ever, as it was the first of many things her older cousin would teach her. So, when Cadbury asked me to host a tea party for my little girl and her friends, I knew we would have a great time planning something like that!
A fun tea party for toddler girls turned into a much bigger event, mostly for the mamas. You see, it is rare that the mommies in my circle of friends get a time out. When I told everyone my idea to have a good old fashioned tea party for the girls, the moms came back with a ton of ideas and everyone was excited for this event. My suggestion was to make it an “iced” tea party since we have been bombarded with heat waves. Another mom suggested a “Long Island Iced Tea” party, but we couldn’t justify a tea party with drinks that didn’t even contain tea. So we went ahead with a fun tea party with the tots!
I didn’t know how to go about making this a “girls only” tea party since so many of my friends have little boys, but the moms liked the idea of having a day to spend with their little girls. I set up a table with child-safe nail polishes and fun tea-time hats, another table with iced tea, and we had the Cadbury Ice Cream bars in the freezer. The Cadbury ice cream bars were the perfect size for an afternoon snack and everyone chatted about how they liked that they were smaller than typical ice cream bars and can keep portion sizes in check. Cadbury ice cream bars come in four varieties:
- Cadbury™ Caramello™: Creamy Blue Bunny® vanilla ice cream is swirled with caramel sauce and dipped in rich, creamy Cadbury milk chocolaty coating
- Cadbury™ Double Chocolate: Creamy Blue Bunny® chocolate ice cream is dipped in thick, rich Cadbury milk chocolaty coating
- Cadbury™ Vanilla Chocolate: Creamy Blue Bunny ® vanilla ice cream is dipped in thick, rich Cadbury milk chocolaty coating
- Cadbury™ Chocolate Almond: Creamy Blue Bunny® vanilla ice cream dipped in thick, rich Cadbury milk chocolaty coating with almond pieces.
Everyone had a great time and we are already planning the next tea party! It was a great event to get moms and their little girls together to bond and make memories!
Disclosure: Thanks to Cadbury and MommyParties for providing everything we needed to have a successful tea party!

What a great memory this will make for your little girl.
Oh my gosh, I didn’t even know Cadbury made those. I have GOT to try them THIS week!
I remember my daughter’s first set. I was so scared she would break it, but she didn’t.
Looks yummy, but I wish they had a dark chocolate version.
Those look AMAZING. I haven’t tried them and I LOVE Cadbury chocolate. They’ll be on this week’s grocery list for SURE.
How sweet! My daughter loves tea parties!
I’m always looking for smaller treats to cut my portions down. These look perfect.
Ooh they look yummy! Haven’t tried them yet!
I did not know Cadbury made these! I know they are delicious and I cannot wait to try them!
I must try these!
Oh, I miss caramel. That tea set is precious!
So cute!
I never had tea parties when I was younger. I love drinking tea though and those ice cream treats look delicious.
My oldest cousin John when he was 3 or so only wanted a tea set for Christmas – well that is what he got and it started the tradition of boys getting gifts normally bought for girls (tea sets, dolls, kitchens) and girls getting traditionally boy toys (cars, tool benches, heavy equipment). It is a great tradition my family still does to this day (some 50 years later).
I’ve not tried Cadbury ice cream before. Sounds yummy, though!
What an adorable tea set! Love it!
