One of the most hectic holidays I have hosted myself is Christmas dinner without any help from my mom. It was my second year married and I was having my husband’s family over. Everything, including dessert, was homemade and was a 3 day process to get everything organized. I wanted dinner to be impressive, so I ordered a crown pork roast from the butcher. He asked me if I wanted him to stuff it for me and I scoffed at him – “No thanks, I can do it myself.” That morning I was wondering why I didn’t just enlist his help with the stuffing.
Mrs. Cubbison’s is not a name I was familiar with until a few weeks ago. No, she’s not my neighbor or a friend’s mom – but she might as well be! Mrs. Cubbison’s Kitchen was founded over 60 years ago by Sophie Cubbison. Mrs. Cubbison’s Kitchen currently makes stuffing, croutons, meatloaf mix, and crispy onion topping, but will debut other products in the future.
I had the opportunity to work with Mrs. Cubbison’s Kitchen and received a generous gift box full of dinner “helpers.” Dinner helpers is a foreign phrase to me because my mom always made everything from scratch, and this is all that I knew. After trying out the Multi-Grain Stuffing with Cranberries, I started to change my thinking. No one has to know it came out of a bag, right? The crunchy croutons are a great addition to any salad, Caesar or not, and the Fresh Gourmet Crispy Onions are delicious on top of a green bean casserole. Check out the list of items I received to try out:
- Mrs Cubbison’s Multi-Grain Stuffing with Cranberries
- Fresh Gourmet Crispy Onions
- Morehouse Mustard
- Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Magic Seasoning Blend
- Mrs. Cubbison’s Croutons
- Sunsweet Dried Fruit
- Mrs. Cubbison’s Best Stuffing Cookbook
You have the opportunity to win the very same gift pack I received from Mrs. Cubbisons! Just tell me in the comment section, what would you create with this gift set?
