Realistic Looking Dolls For Your Little Girl

Don’t be fooled by the title- dolls are NOT just for little girls. I really don’t think that little boys should be excluded from pretend play when it comes to baby dolls– after all, one day they will most likely grow up to be fathers. Out of all the kids in the family, my 2 1/2 year old nephew the most excited to have a new little cousin to play with. His face lights up when I walk in the door with my newborn, more so than the little girls in the family. When I feed her, he sits next to me and holds her feet. It really is the cutest thing ever, and it is so surprising that my macho little nephew becomes a mush when my newborn is in the room.

Since toddlers playing with real babies isn’t the wisest idea, the next best thing are the realistic looking dolls by JC Toys. Kids can play “little mommy” or “little daddy” with these fun to dress up dolls. There are quite a few packages to choose from, depending on what type of pretend play your child is interested in. From bath time to feeding time, and just plain dress up, your child will have hours of fun playing with their newborn.

My toddler loves to hold her little sister, but knows that she can’t hold her on her own. She loves playing with her La Newborn doll, holding, dress, feeding, and changing her baby all day long. I love watching her imitate me and take care of her doll the way she sees her sister being taken care of. It is both, interesting and fulfilling. We also have a mini stroller and car seat for her doll so that she can take it for strolls with us when we are out and about.
