One of my dear friends had skin cancer years ago. When I had the opportunity to review the Yellowman Flower Clouds Sun Tee, I knew that I had to pass this one along to her. She was so grateful that I shared this with her that she wanted to give her own personal account of what she felt about this shirt. Here is her review:
As someone who had skin cancer removed a few years ago, I try to avoid the sun at all costs. I wear a gigantic hat that most people consider ridiculous, I always wear SPF 70, on my face and all over. I find the shade and try as best as I can to stay in it. All of this is really hard when you have kids. Most playgrounds are in the sun and then there is the issue of our pool. The pool is in the direct sunlight. I can only procrastinate and redirect the kids before 3pm when the sun no longer shines directly on the pool for so long. They are usually begging and pleading to go in the pool. Applying sunscreen to myself is a very difficult task. My back was where my cancer was removed, which probably happened because I missed the same spot far too many times. This fashionable Yellowman YMX shirt has given me the confidence to be in the pool during the day without having to worry about whether or not I missed a spot on my back. I am very excited that they come in long sleeves. There are so many products out there on the market, but not many cover your sleeves. Applying sunscreen to a Squirmy toddler is difficult enough, remembering whether or not I started with my left arm or my right is no longer an issue. The Yellowman company is amazing. The majority of the designs of the shirts is a collection of the world’s greatest tattoo masters, so you get to wear tattoo art without the pain and time that it would take to actually get “sleeves”. I am proud to wear my work of art in the pool and out in the sun.

Thanks for the (and thank you for passing it on to your friend who had skin cancer to review.) I burn SO EASILY. Last week, I was at the beach for 4-6 hours and put 60 SPF sunscreen on AT LEAST 5 times and still got a sunburn. This would come in VERY handy. I’ll also check them out and MAYBE order something for this summer and at least keep them on the radar for next summer.
